How do I pick meals?
To pick your meals with Mealthy, follow these straightforward steps:
- Sign Up and Subscribe: Begin by signing up for a Mealthy subscription, which will give you access to our meal selection and delivery options.
- Weekly Meal Selection: Each week, browse through the available menu options and choose the meals that best suit your taste and dietary needs. Make sure to finalize your selections before the Wednesday 6 PM cut-off to guarantee timely delivery.
- Flexible Options: You have the flexibility to choose from a variety of meals each week, including options from our Balanced Menu (formerly Chef's Choice) and Low-Carb/Keto versions. This allows you to tailor your meals according to your dietary preferences.
- Delivery Schedule: Select your preferred delivery days—either Saturday/Monday (Delivery Menu A) and/or Wednesday (Delivery Menu B). This ensures your meals arrive fresh and according to your schedule.
By following these steps, you can easily customize your meal plan with Mealthy, ensuring you receive nutritious, delicious meals that align with your lifestyle.
When can I get my first order?
Our weekly order cut-off is Wednesdays at 6 pm. If you order and choose meals before then, your first delivery will be on the following Saturday or Monday.
If the Wednesday cut-off has passed, you will be able to pick meals for the following week. Please contact us on WhatsApp if you need meals sooner to see if we can accommodate your order.
How often will I receive deliveries?
You can receive meal deliveries from Mealthy once or twice a week.
If I choose a 6-meal plan, will I receive 6 meals per delivery or per week?
All meal plans are on a weekly basis. Therefore, with a 6-meal plan, you will receive a total of 6 meals per week.
You have the flexibility to distribute these meals according to your preference, such as opting for 4 meals from Menu A and 2 meals from Menu B.
What is Mealthy?
Mealthy is a meal delivery service in Hong Kong offering high-protein, chef-prepared meals for busy professionals and health enthusiasts.
Our service features premium meal plans, freshness through blast chilling, and flexible delivery options.
When is the weekly cut-off date?
The weekly cut-off date for chosing meals and snacks is Wednesdays at 6pm HKT.
This allows us to prepare and deliver fresh meals to you on time.
Orders placed after the Wednesday 6pm cut-off time will be processed for the following week's delivery.
Are the meals fresh or frozen?
Our meals are freshly prepared and delivered chilled to maintain optimal freshness. Simply heat and enjoy!
How many portions are there in 1 meal?
Our meals are designed for one person to be satisfied.
Each meal varies in nutrition, calories, and how filling it is based on the amount of fiber and fat.
Nutritional information for each meal is available in the weekly menu section.
We believe the majority of the calories should be fulfilled by our meals, so they are large enough that most people will not need to supplement with additional foods and snacks.
Can I cancel my subscription at anytime?
Yes. You can cancel your subscription at any time by logging into the customer portal accessible from your account.
If you cancel before the weekly cutoff on Wednesday at 6pm, no order will be placed for the following week.
If you cancel after the cutoff, you will receive one final order the following week, and then your subscription will be canceled with no further charges.
How much does Mealthy cost?
We offer different sized meal plans (4, 6, 8, 10, 12 or 18) delivered to you each week. Meals start from HK$89. Check out our meal plan page for pricing.
Which meal plan should I choose based on my goals, and what is the difference between the meals?
Our meal plans offer two distinct options to cater to different dietary preferences: Balanced Menu and Low-Carb.
Balanced Menu:
- Meals under this plan are generally higher in calories and more filling, making them ideal for those who prefer a well-rounded diet.
- The sides included in these meals are high in fiber and typically consist of options like brown and red rice, quinoa rice, and couscous.
Low-Carb:
- This option is designed for those looking to reduce their carb intake. These meals are lower in calories compared to the Balanced Menu.
- The sides focus on low-carb alternatives, such as cauliflower rice, low-carb noodles, and zoodles (zucchini noodles).
Commonalities:
- Both meal plans feature the same high-quality main dishes, with the primary difference being the sides that accompany each meal.
- You have the flexibility to mix and match between the Balanced Menu and Low-Carb options each week.
- All meals are generally high in protein, with many containing over 40g of protein, thanks to our generous use of premium ingredients. This approach ensures that our meals are more protein-packed compared to what you might find in restaurants, take-out options, or other meal plan providers.
What is the delivery schedule?
Our delivery schedule is as follows:
- Hong Kong Island and Kowloon:
Delivery A: Saturday Morning (6-8 am)

While we strive to deliver within the designated time slots, please understand that occasional delays with SF Express Cold Chain may occur.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as the SF drivers work hard to bring fresh meals to your door and will usually be try their best to cater to different requests if you contact them.
Sustainable Meal Delivery
How sustainable is your delivery service?
Our delivery service is designed to be efficient and sustainable.
Meals are shipped out in the early hours of the morning each week. Early mornings are almost free from traffic and congestion, allowing a single driver to handle more deliveries than during daytime or evening rush hours.
Compared to food delivery or other meal plans delivering 1-2 meals directly from a restaurant to homes, our meal service is significantly more sustainable.
Our drivers deliver 100+ meals at a time instead of single meals, reducing the overall environmental impact.
Are you zero waste company?
We are close to but not at zero waste of food. Since all our meals are planned and cooked to order, we have a close to 0% wastage rate of ingredients.
However, we still have food waste mainly from vegetable trimmings and ingredients that do not pass quality control.
We are actively working on reducing our vegetable trimmings by adjusting our recipes or transforming these ingredients into delicious foods, stocks, or sauces.
Why don't you use paper packaging?
We set extremely high demands on our packaging solutions and would like to use paper packaging.
Unfortunately, current paper packaging solutions do not meet our standards.
Our packaging must contain the food, keep flavors fresh, and be sealed air-tight. It should also be conveniently stored and safely reheated by our busy customers. The packaging must not impart any flavors into the food and should be enjoyable for our customers to use and eat from. Finally, the packaging should be as lightweight as possible to minimize waste.
How much packaging waste is generated from the meal plans?
Our meal trays are made from 100% recyclable PP and weigh 23 grams each, the same as a 700ml water bottle.
The food value to weight of packaging of our meals exceeds most other foods you can purchase in retail. The amount of packaging waste generated from our kitchen is significantly less than cooking at home as we receive wholesale deliveries of ingredients in bulk.
Can I return the thermal delivery bags?
Yes, you can return the thermal delivery bags. You may keep them for grocery shopping, picnics, or trips to the beach, or share them with a friend. If they start to stack up, please consider returning them.
To return, simply place them outside your door the evening before your delivery, and our delivery drivers will pick them up for return and reuse.
Please note that bag returns are only available for morning slot deliveries in Hong Kong Island and Kowloon.
Meals, Nutrition & Ingredients
How do you measure the nutrition?
Our nutrition information is based on the Nutrient Information Inquiry System (NIIS) at the Centre for Food Safety, considering specified cooking and storage methods.
Nutrition details for each meal are available in the weekly menu before you order.
Please note there may be some variations based on ingredient differences and tray filling.
How big are your servings?
Our servings are designed to be sufficient without needing additional foods. Each meal tray has three compartments, offering fresh and varied foods to keep you energized for active lifestyles.
How long can the meals last?
Meals packed in air-tight trays have a refrigerated shelf life of 3-6 days. Each meal has a best before date printed on it.
Are the meals frozen?
No, Mealthy meals are delivered fresh and chilled to your doorstep. They are ready to heat and eat in just 3 minutes.
What if I can't finish my meals in time?
If you can't finish your meals in time, you can safely freeze them for up to 2 months.
Meals that can be frozen are marked with a freezable icon on the label. Re-heating from frozen takes about 6-7 minutes in the microwave.
How do you take your food pictures?
We have transitioned to using AI-generated images for meal presentations, which reduces food waste and allows us to test a broader variety of presentations. This new approach is more sustainable compared to traditional food photography. Please keep in mind that the meal pictures are just for reference.

Delivery
What are my delivery options?
Hong Kong Island and Kowloon
Morning Delivery (Contactless) Before 8:30am
We deliver meals twice a week in the early morning directly from our kitchen. Meals are packed in thermal bags with ice packs to maintain the temperature. When you are ready for the day, simply open the door, pop the meals in the fridge, and you're all set.
Please note that the drivers will not ring on the doorbell or call unless they need to as the deliveries will be made early in the morning.
New Territories
SF Cold Chain Delivery
Your meals will be delivered by a third party SF cold chain service.
A: 09:00 - 15:00
B: 15:00 - 20:00
Please note that the timeslots are not guaranteed as the individual drivers daily routes and load are changing.
Outlying Islands
Self-pick up shops and lockers
Choose from 3 self pick-up lockers or 83 SF Express shops equipped with chilled storage.
Please get in touch with us after placing your order with your preferred pick-up shop location.
When will I get my weekly meals?
With Mealthy, you have the flexibility to choose if you'd like to receive your meal deliveries once or twice per week:
- Delivery Menu A: Choose to receive meals on either Saturday or Monday.
- Delivery Menu B: Meals are delivered on Wednesday.
For instance, if you prefer receiving meals once a week, you can choose either Menu A or B. Alternatively, you can mix and match by selecting a combination of meals from both menus, like having 6 meals delivered from Menu A and 2 meals from Menu B.
Can I request a delivery time?
Unfortunately we are unable to accomodate a set delivery time.
Where do you deliver?
We deliver all across Hong Kong island, Kowloon and most of New Territories (including Tung Chung and Discovery Bay).
If you live in remote areas or outlying Islands such as Lamma you can choose the temperature controlled pick-up lockers at Central Ferry Pier.
Do you have any pick-up locations?
We are able to offer pick-up from select chilled SF Express chilled locations.

How do I inform you of door-codes?
Please leave door codes or other delivery intructions in the order notes. Since our drivers will arrive in the early morning it is important to provide access codes as security may not be awake at this time.
Managing my subscription
How do I choose my weekly meals?
You can also choose your weekly meals by logging into your customer account before the Wednesday 6pm cut-off time.
We will email you a reminder each week to pick your meals and delivery days.
We may contact you on WhatsApp to remind you to pick your meals.
Please ensure you make your selections before the cut-off time.
Can I pause or skip a week?
Yes, you can pause or skip a week from your account page.
If you pause or skip before the order cut-off, you will not receive the next week's meals.
If you pause or skip after the order cut-off, you will receive the next delivery, and the subscription will then pause or skip after that.
Can I pause directly after placing my first order?
Yes, you can pause your Mealthy subscription directly after placing your first order.
In this case, only the meals you’ve paid for will be delivered, and no new orders will be created until you decide to resume your meal plan.
Change meal plan size
Yes, you can log in to your Mealthy Customer Portal to change the number of meals in your plan (options include 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, or 18 meals).
Need more or fewer meals? You can easily adjust your meal plan from the manage subscription page. Go to your customer portal -> see more details -> edit -> change variant.

Can I change my delivery address?
Yes, you can change your address from the customer account settings, please inform us if you have changed address after the order cut-off time to ensure delivery to the right address.
Can I order a meal plan subscription for someone else?
Yes, you can order a meal plan subscription for someone else. Simply enter the recipient's delivery address and details first during the ordering process. After that, you can select a different billing address with your information. This allows you to send the meals to the intended person while handling the payment yourself.
When will I be billed?
Your first order will be billed after making the order. For upcoming weeks after that your card will be billed each week after the order-cut off on Wednesday nights.
Can I change my payment details?
Yes, you can change payment details from your customer account.
How can I delete my account?
You can delete your account from your account page settings.
